I'm thankful for this day. Heck, I'll probably be thankful for this whole weekend. I'm also thankful for work that agrees with me, and the friends on the phone who yelled "HI, CHRIS!" simultaneously last night, and how I was able to help my family do something important, and how my family was able to help me.
Details, as this entry seems a little disjointed and out-of-context without them: this morning my mom and my Aunt Nancy Weare picked me up and drove me out to Mom and Dad's house for Thanksgiving. We drove through picturesque fog on our way through Portland, then stopped for last-minute groceries and pie, and since then we've been ensconsed in my folks' Dundee, Oregon home, visiting and reminiscing. They're dog-sitting two family dogs, older chocolate lab Molly and exuberant just-past-puppy yellow lab Maggie. Good dogs. It was just the four of us for Thanksgiving, and that was just fine. The dogs got dog food. No feeding of scraps. Thst was just fine, too.
May this have been a good day for all of you.
