I'm excited for this screening. I was able to see The Iron Giant in theaters (two, in fact) back in 1999; a lot of the film's eventual fans never did, as it didn't do well on the big screen and had to wait until video to build its audience, kind of like The Shawshank Redemption. I want this to play well to an appreciative audience.
Fatboy's putting together a clip reel (a "nostalgia bath" as he puts it) that he hopes is going to especially get the audience in the right mood for this film.
So if you're in Portland and 21 or older on Friday, Jan. 8th, 2010, march on over to the Bagdad!
