Anticipation of Driving

I was getting antsy enough to just drive that this morning I toyed with getting in the car and driving to the coast.

Won't be doing that today. I could, however -- the shortest trip from here would be just over an hour up Hwy. 26 to either Cannon Beach or Seaside -- and it's good that I could. It's helping me be in "let's figure out future traveling" mode. I'll likely be driving some nice trips in March, for instance; makes me want to plan for them.

Some driving will occur this weekend. I'll drive for errands (groceries, the library) but I'd like to drive more than that. A car: a useful tool. And I have that tool and know how to use it.

Maybe the driving will also lead to something interesting to write about. Some things, even.
