"And now, Weekend Update, with anchorperson Dennis Miller!"

The other stuff from this weekend:

***

I got downtown twice this weekend. I succeeded in doing lots of walking, plus seeing friends and acquaintances (not only tanuki_green and copperwise, but also snippy, wearing her Gir earrings).

I also got to pet a 3-year-old pit bull who was getting lots of lovin' from the Portland Pride crowd. I've had enough visits with Dawn and Patrick's pit bull Bella to know why it's so right that pit bulls are nicknamed "pibbles." The girl at the Pawsitively Pit Bull booth was definitely a pibble, too. So was the seven-week-old pit bull that her owners brought over.

There were so many cute dogs (and at least one really teeny kitten carried in the palm of one woman's hand) at Pride today that I'd want to talk about them all! I wish I'd been taking pictures.

***

Saturday, before going downtown, I spent a couple of hours in the office, taking care of some pre-vacation business and catching up on some work. Message To Tarah: I spent time perusing the sample wedding photos. I think I can do some similar shots. Looking forward to seeing what's possible! And I have the addresses of the various wedding-related places!

"I'm eating myself out of house and home!" I told myself this weekend, half-facetiously. I'm trying to eat most of what's in opened containers in my refrigerator pre-trip. Good excuse to skarf it down!

***

Watched some DVD'd Beavis and Butthead. So wrong. So right. 'Nuff said.

***

I got my hair cut yesterday, taming the mane in time for the trip. Now no one at the wedding will point at me and quote South Park's Cartman going "Goddamn filthy hippie!"
