It's time for my second lunch.

Donating blood is a good excuse to eat more in the 24 hours leading to the appointment: it cushions your system. That in mind, in preparation for a draw tomorrow morning, I ate my lunch sandwich quickly earlier and am now back from the 24-hour OHSU cafeteria with Second Lunch (and, I'm sure, with yendi's approval): a piece of cod, a side of broccoli, and chili. Chili has iron. You need a certain amount of iron in your blood for an easier draw. I also have juice, a Naked "Blue Machine" fruit blend: 13 blueberries, 2 blackberries, 2 apples and half a banana comprise its goodness. And my water input has been steady (read: high) today.

Bring on the needle!
