This is an urgent plea on behalf of a dear friend who was traveling by car with her two cats. While they were stuck in interstate traffic due to an accident near Huntsville, Alabama tonight, one of the cats got out of the car and disappeared into the brush and woods near the highway. She and a kind stranger searched for a long time but couldn't find the cat, and she is heartbroken. The cat escaped the car on I-65 North at Route 1223, just past the 1223 crossover bridge.
Miss Kitty is a small, older black cat with distinctive white whiskers and slight facial deformities. She's pretty shy but would possibly come to a person, especially if she gets hungry. She has a microchip, so if someone were able to get her to a vet or shelter that scans for them, we could get her home. I'll update/repost this with pictures of Miss Kitty when my friend is able to send me some, but in the meantime, if anyone reading lives in the area, PLEASE keep an eye out for this sweet little cat. If you're not in the area, maybe send a little prayer to St. Francis or Bast or the entity of your choice.
Feel free to repost, and thanks.
