This could work. Except it WON'T.

So. You have two cars. You need to get both cars somewhere. You have one driver: you.

So you start one car. You drive it about 50 feet. You park it, engine running, and run back to the second car. You drive it 50 feet past the first. You run back to the first. You drive it another leg. Back and, well, back, each car passing the other.

You would make progress. It would just be slow, likely dangerous, and truly silly-looking. But! In a pinch, IT WOULD WORK.
