We are building a clock.

My company is building a clock.

An atomic clock. A clock that'll be built inside a mountain in Texas, which makes me think of how in the novel Logan's Run there's that giant bank of computers inside Crazy Horse Mountain, but I digress.

An ATOMIC CLOCK, you guys. I'd never heard of this project until today; I was at the office providing help to a team prepping for an interview (we're trying to sell Hoffman as the company to build [REDACTED] [IN FACT NOT WRITTEN HERE AT ALL BECAUSE I CAN'T TELL YOU ABOUT IT UNTIL WE EITHER WIN THE PROJECT OR DON'T]) and Dale, a Hoffman Seattle office person I'm acquainted with, whipped out photos of the tunnel they've been digging into the mountain.

And photos of -- to add to the coolness -- a previously unknown cave inside the mountain where the clock will be installed. They found it while tunneling into the mountain.

There's a void that currently has timbers across it for workers to get over the void and to the rest of the tunnel. Dale said that eventually logistics may require a sort of drawbridge. He suggested making the bridge like a Myst puzzle you have to solve for it to move into position. I suggested making a bridge that you can't see, like in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
