The Goal

Find the words.

Find the right words.

Blog better than you've blogged before. The language? Impressive. The arguments? Strong and surprising, making people go "I hadn't thought of that," and canceling out the potential dumb responses so you're not diverted from the point. HAVE a point. Have many, in fact. Have a variety of topics. Keep it varied and interesting. Amuse people. Move people. "At the same time" is perhaps ideal. Make it welcoming. Make people want to read it. Make people want to comment on it. Recognize when you're starting to repeat yourself, and find new words and new thoughts to back up those words. Use the options for other content. Use photos, but for a purpose. Link, but don't just link, unless you specifically wish just to do so (as many do on Tumblr). Because it's about the thoughts, and the words. The right words.

This entry brought to you by me wanting to get back in the swing of blogging.
