Hi. I fell out of the habit of giving people birthday wishes. Used to be a big part of this journal: one whole year I wrote poems and short songs for people on their birthdays. But once I was out of the habit, I got concerned about being inconsistent: missing people, or writing something lackluster. Of course, now it's easier to keep track of a lot of birthdays, as Facebook reinforces a lot of them.

You've had birthdays so far this year? I'll retroactively wish they were fun and good!
