I assume, and hope, that the people I know closest to the Pacific are OK. My family in Guam had several hours of warning after the earthquake in Japan to prepare, and my friends on the big island of Hawaii are reasonably far inland.
That said, I'm waiting for word from them, to be on the more sure side.
Uncertainty, as it often is, is tough.
Nothing compared to the horror and pain occurring in Japan, but I've got to process this somehow.
