Trivia gets me glory. And stuff.

Whoa. Second Geek Trivia in a row where my team won the grand prize. Different teams both times; I was able to contribute answers (correct answers, even! Mostly) to both, relievedly. We won a grab-bag of comics stuff: my big "get" last night was the first collection of the Dark Horse Comics adaptation of Solomon Kane, based on Robert E. Howard's stories.

Last night's Geek Trivia was a likely needed chance to be loud and obnoxious. I was cranky on my way to it, and I got cranky again on my way home, but I do wonder if I'd've been crankier without that often-loud outlet that my fellow geeks afford me.

Last night's Geek Trivia also reminded me, as each Geek Trivia usually does, that I know quality geeks. Thank you, all of you.

One more bit of Geek Trivia news: it's outgrown Vendetta, the North Portland bar where it started. The May 3rd event will be the first in the McMenamin's Kennedy School movie theater. LOTS of space there. (That's also the theater where I first met Mike Russell, Dawn Taylor and her husband Patrick Hurley in person.) Vendetta will be hosting related events, though. Something that's coming there: geek speed dating.
