The Multnomah County Central Library is spotlighting the writing of P.G. Wodehouse. The top of one low cabinet in the Fiction room is stacked with a few dozen books of his. Truly it is an embarrassment of Psmith, Jeeves and essays on golf. I looked at the back of one book and I saw a photo of Wodehouse for the first time. He looks amused. And happy.
Being someone who only within the last few years has gotten to appreciate both Wodehouse and his influence (he was one of Douglas Adams's favorite authors), I like being reminded that many, many others appreciate him.
