The inner voice

'tis better to heed an inner voice and avoid something than not heed it and, um, un-avoid.

I'm not sure why, but while I was walking around Fred Meyer this afternoon -- my usual weekend grocery shopping trip -- I had this disconcerting thought: You're likely to run into someone.

"Run into" as in *bump*"Oh, excuse me" or even *bump* *SMAAAAAASSSSSH*.

Which was good for making me extra-vigilant as I pushed my cart along the aisles. And I didn't run into anyone or anything, or at least I haven't yet, and I've made it home and into my computer chair. I didn't even "run into" anyone I know, so I could have a "Hey! Good to see you! How you doing?" moment that would've been a more elegant way to end this entry...
