I've gotten to ride for a few days on an operating aircraft carrier. That's still one of the neatest things I've ever done.

I've volunteered at the Smithsonian.

I got to see both prototype Mars landers and behind-the-scenes stores of large bugs, up close, again at the Smithsonian.

Also, I'm pretty sure a phrase I wrote on an author's forum inspired a phrase in a novel by that author, but there's probably no way to confirm that. Still, the possibility of that amuses me.
