MUST HAVE LESS PAPER

Domestic day. Slight cleaning day. Didn't-even-get-out-of-sweats-and-sweatshirt day. Laundry's done, bedroom vacuuming is done, "digging through my piles of paper goods and moving plenty of it to recycling" is done.

I also decided that the vast majority of my receipts, I DO NOT NEED TO SAVE. I used to have literally years' worth of old receipts; then I cut that down to "this year's and the previous year's receipts," saved in accordion files; and I finally decided even that is overkill. I already wasn't keeping all my receipts (do I really need a 2015 McDonalds receipt? No) so this streamlines what I save. Maybe hold onto Fred Meyer receipts long enough to do the online survey that also gets me points toward fuel discounts, but otherwise I can get rid of these quickly...

(Most receipts get rubbed into illegibility, anyway. "Hey! This paper showed that I bought something! Somewhere. Sometime. Um.")

Always a struggle, not to be Harry Tuttle who had this happen:
