Inspired by the current fake-summer in Portland

by Christopher Walsh, 4/7/2016

The air doesn't want to be cool, but
This slaps some cold on top of it:
You breathe the difference.
You feel it in your nose and taste it on your tongue.
The very local atmosphere is flavored.
And it pushes you.
Not enough to be jarring, unless it's on especially strong
But it's artificially aggressive.
It might make you simultaneously shiver and sweat.
Still, you want to be cool, so
You accept that.
While, outside,
The air keeps not-cool on its own.
