I helped do good!

Earlier this year I let Sarah X. Dylan, half of the hosting team of Funemployment Radio, start to borrow my copies of Sandman by Neil Gaiman and a bunch of artists. Dylan loved it, immediately "got it," and got excited to read more.

Today Sarah X. Dylan celebrated her upcoming birthday, and her FER co-host Greg Nibler gave her a gift: all eleven collections of the original Sandman, plus the recent prequel Sandman: Overture! Big gift. Meaningful gift. Tonight I hung out with Sarah and Greg and Landmark Saloon, which all three of us like (and where Sarah works part-time), and she thanked me for introducing her to the comic. I thanked her for getting into the comic as thoroughly as she did. Greg thanked me for the idea; I thanked him for being bold enough to get all of it for her. Good night, plus I had good food and drinks at the place so, bonus!

And in another bonus, when I started letting Dylan borrow Sandman, I also let her borrow the first collection of the new comic version of Jem and the Holograms...and I, when I read it, immediately "got it," and got excited to read more. I'm so glad I tried it. I'm so glad Sarah X. Dylan tried Sandman. *smiles*

I hope you get excited by what you read.
