Drama in West Portland...

...that I'm relieved I'm nowhere near. A building at NW 23rd and Glisan was evacuated due to a gas leak; the building then blew up. Reports so far of five injuries, three of them firefighters — no fatalities, thank goodness. Damaged building next to it.

Please stay fatality-free.

Also this morning, in SW Portland somewhere downtown, an auto collided with a bus and blocked Max tracks, disrupting the Orange, Yellow, and Green lines. Orange and Yellow are being served by shuttle buses, and the Green Line's been re-routed.

Right now I'm glad I'm in SE Portland and far from the drama. And hoping the drama does not get more dramatic. Take care, Portland.
