I started this morning by opening the house's front door and setting up my chair on the porch, letting cool morning air past me into the house. (Made the house 2 degrees cooler!) Then I got on buses — either nominally or well air-conditioned, depending — and got up to Beulahland, hanging out and visiting with Mary-Suzanne since she was done with her shift. (I didn't get food, but did leave a small tip for my time using the space. I'd been there a while.) Another bus, then, this time to downtown so I could walk to the central library. Reading, some online time, and recharging my tablet.
Then a ride on the Streetcar, partly to get to the southern part of downtown next to Portland State University and partly to test how to use my new transit "HopCard" on the Streetcar. I had cheap dinner at the Chipotle over there.
Because I am comfortable in surprising places, the last place I went before heading home was a hospital: OHSU, where I worked from 2004 to 2008. More AC, it's quiet, I'm familiar with it, and there's wifi. (I generally, with the exception of a bad manager, felt good about my work at OHSU.)
And now, back to the house. No AC here, but it's manageable inside.
