"Darkness was cheap, and Scrooge liked it.'

Christmas, soon, in my parents' home.

Christmas, now, in many other places. Others are getting to the greetings part and the gift-giving part and the hugging-each-other part and later will get to the eating part. ("Have visions of sugar plums or whatever," Dad told me last night. "Ahhh, visions of food," I replied.)

For me, for now, it's Patrick Stewart's rendition (on CD) of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol. And thinking hopeful thoughts for my loved ones and friends, reinforced by reading my friends on LiveJournal who are reporting that yes, they are having a Merry Christmas.

Happy holidays, all of you. Find joy.
