iAm iSaid

Maybe I should let one reality show a year into my diet. And other natterings!

Good evening. Felicitious salutations. W'zup, y'all.

I wonder if I should let myself watch one reality TV show a year. Last year's was Celebrity Fit Club: Men Vs. Women, which I admit and admitted I was watching because that Eighties singer Tiffany turned out to be hot.

A little earlier tonight I was flipping back and forth between VH1's Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew -- that's already a guilty pleasure. A terrifying guilty pleasure -- and Country Music Television's Gone Country. I'm actually curious about watching these, or at least one or the other. Gone Country brings rock stars, rap stars and TV stars -- people like Dee Snider from Twisted Sister, Sisqo (who wrote and sang the insane "Thong Song" -- and really, how had no one done a song called that until then?) and Maureen McCormick from The Brady Bunch -- to Nashville to become country singers, paired with two songwriters each.

This could be a guilty pleasure. A fun guilty pleasure.

(Hey, Tarah: is Courtney workin' on Gone Country?)

In other notes,

* I enjoy that the epic Pixies song "Monkey Gone to Heaven" begins with the line "There was a guy..."

* After work, I began my walk off the hospital hill in snow, which was nice. I finished it in a rain-and-snow mix, but hey, I had an umbrella. Yes, Portlanders sometimes use umbrellas.

* I didn't need the umbrella in the morning; it was more windy than rainy then. Mainly I huddled against the building next to my bus stop thinking It's adding insult to injury to have to be out in weather like this! Then a bicyclist rode by, making me feel guilty and a wimp.
