Blow My Mind

R.I.P., James E. Reilly of Passions

As a sometime soap opera appreciater — some Guiding Light in the Eighties, some All My Children in the early Nineties, the movie Soapdish (which is hilarious), and other works that I'd argue are soap opera-influenced — I wish to note the passing of Day of Our Lives and Passions head writer James E. Reilly at the still-too-young age of 60.

I also want to link to Defamer's tribute to Reilly's work on Passions, which was IN-FREAKIN'-SANE:
We're talking child witches with thought bubbles, armies made exclusively of fighting lesbians, insanely convoluted incest storylines — and that's just for starters!
Somewhere, Spike is raising a pint.
Whale fluke

I'm feelin' trashy.

I'll repeat, I'm feelin' trashy. My waiting dinner: frozen meat and Ramen noodles, both from the corner store. Once they're hot, they're mine.

(To be fair, I also got milk and Viso, which are better for me, but the bulk of tonight's calories will be trashy calories.)
