David Walker interviews Kevin Smith

David Walker had an interesting interview with filmmaker Kevin Smith about porn, filmmaking, porn, love, porn, romance, and porn (hey, I don't want anyone to be surprised that the guy who made a movie called Zack and Miri Make a Porno is talking about porno). An excerpt:
I would have no problem with the word “porn,” but of the two, “porno” is just cuter. It’s not even like I titled the movie Zack and Miri Make a Pornographic Film, or Zack and Miri Make Smut, or Zack and Miri Make a Skin Flick. “Porno” is just a cute word, it’s like “zamboni.”
Also worth linking to are Walker's tributes to Rudy Ray Moore and Portland bartender Doug Baum. Rest in peace, men.

Song observation

The opening guitars on Metallica's "The Day That Never Comes" sound like the Beach Boys gone horribly wrong.

This is in fact something good. (I want to say "This is a good thing," but that's too Martha Stewart for fucking Metallica...)
