Heads up, leonardpart6:

Coming eventually from La-La Land Records (no set release date yet) is Shirley Walker's complete score to Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.

Thirty minutes of the score was released on the original soundtrack CD back in 1993, but this will be the full score, including the "world of tomorrow!" expo music from the flashback. 3,000 copies will be available for pre-order starting Tuesday, March 24th.

Film Score Monthly let me know via today's news update.

Transition Times

It's that time of year when the small floating stuff in the air might be either snowflakes or blossoms. Portland last had snow in the last couple of weeks: this week we're getting blooming trees. It's one of those times of the year that change is obvious.

I'm having changes, too (WAY TO GO WITH THE THEMATIC WRITING, CHRIS): my new job training starts next week. Tonight is the last episode of Battlestar Galactica (9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. this time), once more witnessed in the Bagdad Theater by me and hundreds of my fellow geeks. (Doors open at 8, not 9. Early early early. Got that?) After that, I can change to checking out Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse in my non-DVR'd apartment, so I can finally see where Chronicles has gone story-wise since it moved to Friday and see how Dollhouse has developed. (I can't watch TV shows online, to answer that question. My technology ain't up to it. Maybe that's something else I should change...)

One thing that hasn't changed is that I hate abandoning books, so I'm slowly (slowly, slowly) working through Katherine Dunn's Geek Love. Not my easiest read, but I want to see where it goes. (See, octoberland? I'm having trouble with it too!) I'm also reading the collection Wastelands: Stories of the Apocalypse. I've been an especially slow reader lately. That's a change I don't like and that I want to change back!

More changes will change as the time changes. (WAY TO OVERDO THE THEMATIC WRITING, CHRIS.)

What part of Spring am I?

Via popfiend:

You Are Chirping Birds

You are a very caring person. You especially feel for innocent beings, like animals and children.

You are keyed in to the world and very peaceful. You believe that everyone is connected.

You remain focused and in the moment. You are not easily distracted.

You have a good memory, especially for things that you hear. You listen carefully.

Good thing I'm not Yelling Bird...

Online flirting truth

Even if you only know someone by 1s and 0s, they can be a 10.

(That's certainly been said before, but it's the first time I've said it.)

Variation on the thought! "Of course you think she's a 10, you only know her by 1s and 0s."

(I first wrote that "you know her 1s and 0s," and that sounded slightly rude, if you know what I mean, and I think you do...)
