Mene, Day 5!

Day 05 - Favorite love story in a movie
The last scene in The Kentucky Fried Movie. Heh heh heh.

Okay, serious answer, probably West Side Story, which obviously had great source material. Of more recent vintage, I'm fond of the film version of Stardust, which finds a slightly different way to talk about love than usually gets talked about.

Day 05 - A show you hate
That Jim Kramer thing on CNBC. Dude, DON'T F'IN SCREAM AT ME.
Good Omens

Not a mechanical man

Whoa. That was such a perfect script-reading last night that when I answered the phone, I thought the voice on the other end was pre-recorded.

I said "Good-bye," because I'm ruder to machines than people, then I heard the guy on the other end stop and say "Excuse me?" And I said "Whoa."

We talked briefly enough for me to tell him (twice) that I wasn't in the mood to be surveyed, and we ended the call. I even apologized for the "Good-bye."
Whale fluke

One last chance to get wrapped up in new Lost...

...means I'm revising my plans.

I'll be at the Bagdad's pre-screening shenanigans on Sunday evening, since doors open at 6. I'll head home in probably the 8 o'clock hour, giving myself enough time to get home before the 9:00 start of the actual final episode. Still means going to sleep after 11:30 because it'll be 2 1/2 hours long, but this gets me to see the episode and also to hang out with my similarly obsessed fellow watchers for at least part of the night. Much like the first night of Lost at the Bagdad, in fact.

We've got plans! Right here in River City!
