Good Omens

You need some Neil?

So Portland was more awesome yesterday: author Neil Gaiman was in town.

He and his wife, singer/performance artist Amanda Palmer, are on tour -- almost literally a "let's do stuff together because we don't usually get to do that on tours" tour. They performed for four hours at the Aladdin Theater. (Special unannounced guest? This will make certain of my friends cheer: John Cameron Mitchell of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Really.) I'm so looking forward to my friends reporting on what the show was like.

But I can see and share this nice thing. KGW Channel 8's Steph Stricklen, one of the good people of Portland media, interviewed Gaiman and Palmer yesterday. In the link below is the 8-minute segment, and also Stricklen's blog about how very, very difficult it was not to geek out; she is deeply fond of Gaiman, his work, his outlook and more.

I am very happy for Steph Stricklen right now.
