Captain Kris W'lash

I scared myself awake.

In the middle of the night, I woke myself up with confused thoughts that, somehow, conveyed this message: Someone else is in here.

"Here" is my studio apartment. It's a small space. High ceilings, at least, to make it feel less small, but, yeah: small.

And I thought something big was, somehow, moving through it.

BOLT awake at that. I think I even got out of bed, to get a different view on where the moving something seemed to be. (Or did I just dream about getting out of bed?) I then woke up enough to process the difference between the dream imagery and the real things that were in front of me, and: no. Nothing moving except dust particles, which I wouldn't see anyway because the lights were out.

I rarely get annoyed with my dream-mind, but that time? Yeah. Annoyed.

Earlier, I'd had trouble getting to sleep. At that moment, I had trouble staying asleep. And I needed sleep. I somehow got back to sleep after all that, and slept hard, but waking up this morning was not fun times.

So. I'm glad I don't have to do the errands I'd planned to do this morning and can instead push them to tomorrow. I think I don't yet have enough brain to do them.
