And, sometimes, doggerel.

Hail nailed Dale and Gail
'cause storms in Vail never fail
to rail our tails 'til we feel frail
...but we prevail by drinking ale.

A Place, in Fiction
by Christopher Walsh, 4/4/2016

I'd once thought Middle Earth was in the middle of Earth:
In the middle of the crust,
A continent-sized cavern, one somehow with weather
Lit by a sun that could not be there
A fake sky hiding the ceiling (room enough for the towers to stretch)
— Seas and streams fed, perhaps, by the seas and aquifers above
And all the life and language Tolkien catalogued,
All the adventures and myths detailed or hinted-at
Existing in an additionally-impossible
Buried world.
