Good Omens

Asking for non-trouble

You don't have to go far in my neighborhood to get a good, striking view of Mt. Hood. And today's clouds are high enough that, while I was walking a little bit ago, I passed an obstacle then saw the volcano, very clear and seemingly right there.

"Boom!" I thought.

Then, after a second, I thought "Please don't erupt."

"Potentially active" is a phrase most of the United States save the Northwest, Alaska and Hawaii never has to deal with. (Northwesterners, Alaskans and Hawaiians have to deal with actually active volcanoes, too.)

So my first thought seemed, shall I say, asking for trouble. Trouble recanted, I hope.

I hope.
