LiveJournal now has a version of the "Like" feature — that heart on the lower left of each entry. I want to see how it looks to the blogger when people click that. Could some of you reading this do so?
Edit: Yay, LJ (like Twitter and Facebook) tells you who clicked it! I'm on a tablet, and touching the number next to the "Like" heart makes a list pop up. I'm guessing hovering a mouse over it on a desktop would give the same info.
"The Death of Cold" by Christopher Walsh 11/14/2016
What is cold comfort? Is one hugged by the cold? Are we protected by it? Do we seek it? Cold finds us: Cold reaches us and pours on us, tendrilling past our defenses, making our hearts work to cling to warmth. Enough cold, of course, kills. There's no love in the cold: Cold is an invisible shield against it. Cold simply, quietly, insistently, (eventually, perhaps) icily, Prods at us. Works to weaken us. True comfort is a bulwark against that. True comfort protects, gently. It warms.
