Star Wars - Fly away...

Quiet Days

Stayed home for most of Wednesday and for all of today. Yesterday, the one outside errand was to the library for a DVD of Spike Lee's Malcolm X (1992), something of Lee's I hadn't seen yet. (I've started giving him more focus; I borrowed Mo' Better Blues and The 25th Hour last year, for instance.) In fact, a fair amount of Wednesday was spent resting in my rocking chair, letting myself nod off. Probably my most involved job yesterday was doing laundry.

Today I let myself have a bath, followed by a good scrubbing, both of which I hadn't done in a while. Begone, more skin flakes. And in the afternoon I watched Malcolm X, impressed and attentive. I took an intermission as it's 3 hours 20 minutes, but to quote Roger Ebert, “No good movie is too long and no bad movie is short enough.”
