Goat Help (a Belmont Goats post)

From 2012 to 2014, the herd now known as The Belmont Goats lived in a now-developed lot in the Buckman neighborhood of inner Southeast Portland. From 2014 to 2016, the herd lived in a now-being-developed lot in Lents, about 25 blocks east of where I live. Starting in 2016, the herd lived in a lot behind a Boys & Girls Club a couple of blocks farther east, a relatively simple move, but to a soon-to-be-developed lot...

You see where this is going, right? By design, The Belmont Goats have stayed in lots that were slated for development, in the rapidly-developing Portland. They'll be moving again soon, and making a farther move: they will next be in a lot in North Portland. Still in the city, and for the first time in a different quadrant than SE. The exact location — where the owners expect to be for the next two years — will be announced once the owners can officially do so* (I, not an owner, do not know which location it is); and, now, the owners are raising money for the move.

Here's the GoFundMe.

I've donated, and I aim to donate more later. I've been fond of this herd (14 goats and a hen) for years and I want them to have a nice new home, where another slice of Portland's population can get to know them.

* The owners have unofficially let the neighborhood know, but will be talking to more people who live near before they tell everyone else.
