I've been noticing sunsets all my life, of course, but I started really photographing them in 1991: for the tragic reason of Mt. Pinatubo erupting that summer in the Phillipines, so much ash was pushed into the atmosphere that for months sunset colors were more vivid. Tonight's isn't on that level, thank goodness; these sunset colors are not tied to tragedy.
