by Christopher Walsh, 4/7/2020-4/11/2020 learned to live with all your flaws
To give perfection rest it wants
And all that had stuck in your craws
Gone vaporized: an end to taunts
You thought you'd heard from everyone
Who saw how fully you are wrong
Until your head, un-overrun
Made them slink off: imagined throngs
You'd thought were right, but were just doubts
That you'd believed too easily
Self-sabotage, with fears throughout
That left no room for some esprit
So: flaws no longer stopped your work
Which then gets better? Yeah, it could
As you steer 'round those rocks which lurk
The Perfect: enemy of Good.
