Friday: Out and About. Saturday: In and, um, No Sin?

Friday, May 1st, for me, was an errand day. For several reasons, it was a good day for me to get in the car and go all over Portland. First breakfast at Henry Higgins Boiled Bagels on Foster, where they've moved their purchase station to the door and put the menu in the front windows so you can order from the street. I ate in the car then started driving, partly to see other scenery, partly to get my tank as close to empty as possible so I could then get as much fresh gas as possible. Then, gas. Then, more errands: a book at Books With Pictures (left for me on the counter near the front door; I'd paid over the phone on Thursday) then groceries at the Hawthorne Fred Meyer.

Fred Meyer is also where I went to the bathroom. First time using a bathroom not in this house since Friday, April 10th, when I swung by Bridge City Comics and its owner, a friend and good guy named Michael, let me use that building's bathroom.

Once I was home, I stayed put, other than an evening walk.

Today, Saturday, May 2nd, it's mostly rained here. I woke up, eventually (bad night's sleep, for reasons that are my fault), and decided I wasn't in the mood to go out. Nice that I didn't have to. It's been a reading day, a watching-a-movie day (1996's Emma, the one with Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, and a pre-Sixth Sense Toni Collette; nice film), a homemade ramen day, and a watching-the-rain day...though we did get a sun break in the afternoon.

My inner editor is very well-trained. Do I blog about that? Not that; that’s someone else’s story. Not that; it’s much like something I blogged…
