A sad dream

Sometimes you're sad.

I realized that pretty quickly this morning. Without getting into the details of my dream last night, it was a sad one. I'm lucky that the vast majority of my dreams are not nightmares, because my dreams are vivid enough that a full-on nightmare could be terrifying, but sometimes they're disquieting, or disturbing, or just sad.

I'm in a sad mood.

That could get exacerbated, so I try to be aware of what might make me sadder. I'm reading an often-sad book, Downbelow Station by C.J. Cherryh, and I pause at times so I'm not soaking up as much sadness that way; but I still want to read it. So I can alternate with reading something else, too. There are ways to deal.

Still, sometimes you're sad. And, as I've often done, I've noted it and am looking for ways to deal with it.

Take care. See ya.
