"Big cops. Small town. Moderate violence."

With special nods towards leonardpart6:

Hot Fuzz.

An action-film-with-comedy from the writers and director of Shaun of the Dead.

With (among many others) Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright, Bill Nighy, Martin Freeman of Hitchhiker's and the British The Office, Paul Freeman (dude, Belloq!) and Timothy Dalton.

And the score's by David Arnold.

This is already leonardpart6's favorite film and he hasn't even seen it yet.

P.S. Here's Moriarity's Ain't It Cool News review of it. And here's the IMDb photos page for it.

You've got red on you.
Frak, I want to see this. I frakkin' love 'Sean of the Dead.'

Oh yeah, I'm way all over this.

When I finally saw the trailer and saw Dalton pop up, I damn near passed out.

And another thing that makes me happy: I heard that the Hot Fuzz trailer uses David Shire's kick-ass opening theme from The Taking of Pelham One-Two-Three. (That bass! That noise! That 12-tone row!) That score was released on a CD that my former editor Lukas Kendall produced and that I own. Good stuff, and absolutely perfectly over-the-top for a film like this.

I loathe you right now.
