Basil Poledouris: In His Own Words Part II (Conan!)

I'll do a full write-up of last night's "Firefly at the Mission" later, once my coherence returns. Another packed house this time: the McMenamin's guy said we came within 40 people of selling out.

But I can do links with minimal, just-woke-up brainpower, so here I present Part Two of Film Score Monthly's memorial Basil Poledouris: In His Own Words. Turns out he wrote lyrics for the main Conan theme; he explains why, and also shares the story of how his then-9-year-old daughter Zoe contributed a key piece of the score (a story I once paraphrased here). And you find out his true feelings on Conan the Destroyer and Red Dawn!
