Being for the Benefit of Mr. Doyle!

Film composer Patrick Doyle -- who's scored almost all of Kenneth Branagh's films, as well as Gosford Park, A Little Princess, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire -- is one of the talented guys and one of the good guys. Emphasis on "is"; ten years ago he almost died from aggressive leukemia.

He talks about it here. If you have issues with Medical Ick, don't read it, but he also talks about how his friends -- many of whom went on to star in the Harry Potter films -- kept his spirits up during his treatment. It's actually a lovely story in its way, and (boom!) it has a happy ending.
