Most of the windows in my studio are fogged up from the hour-and-a-half of cooking that it took.
Ahhhh; it's good and thick, healthy in some ways and decadent in others. (It's the only recipe I have where I get to saute bacon.) It's actually a fairly simple soup/almost stew to put together: chopped-up potatoes, onions, celery (which I didn't have this time), carrot chunks, lentils (of course), bouillon and water, with seasoning provided by nutmeg, black pepper and bay leaves.
I'll be eating this for a while. Like for the next few days.
