Something nuts for charity: tonight I made a donation to the KUFO (101.1 FM) Rock-A-Thon for Kids. I donated so I could make a song request, and thus, for almost certainly the first time, this hard-rock station played "Weird Al" Yankovic's "Bob":
Oh no, Don Ho! Nurse, I spy gypsies: run!
Senile felines, now I see bees I won...
Yes, that song. (Sung like Bob Dylan, too!)

My back-up request was going to be Oingo Boingo, either "Sweat" or "Cry of the Vatos" ("Oh Wow. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"), but the woman who took my donation info told me that it was definitely possible to get my Yankovic on. And DJs Cort and Fatboy played it happily. What are they playing happily now? "Beyond the Sea" by Bobby Darin. More songs for charity!
