Neil Gaiman provided Charles Vess's wrap-around cover for the upcoming picture book Blueberry Girl. (It's in the lower half of the entry, with a link to a larger version.)
Neil Gaiman wrote the poem "Blueberry Girl" back in 2000, as a gift for Tori Amos's newborn daughter Natashya. (She's since grown into a worthy little girl; 'round 2003 Neil called her "the funniest almost-three-year-old" he knew.) He shared it sparingly with others: on his late 2000 book tour he read it at Portland's Aladdin Theater, with the caveat that all recording devices be turned off. Soon he will share it more widely.
