This afternoon I bussed and walked to the Everyday Music on NE Sandy, finding music for me and a friend. It was dinner time when I left, and I decided to treat myself to the seasonal Chocolate Hazelnut milkshake at Burgerville (I walked from Everyday Music to the SE 11th and Hawthorne Burgerville, to help build my appetite). My actual dinner was a halibut sandwich with fries, with the shake both the drink and dessert. Good stuff.
Adding to the good: the staff had set the jukebox to play a long set of mid-Sixties Beatles, from Rubber Soul, Revolver and Sgt. Pepper. A worker and one young girl eating there even would sing a lyric or two here and there, and I kept the beat to some songs.
This caused smiling. Not just mine.
