Good people

Tuesday night, I had a quick-and-happy meeting with Daria, Goddess D.J. of Portland (really, she needs a dramatic title like that) as she signed copies of her first CD, “Daria’s Local Entertainment Guide Vol. 1,” which entertains you and supports animals because A) it’s made up of her stories and B) proceeds go to a local animal hospital. I also gave Daria a gift: a copy of Liquor by Poppy Z. Brite. I told her, “You like drinking, you like eating, you like reading; you might like this.”

And after that, on the bus mall, I had another happy run-in, with a former co-worker named India. She’s still at the call center where I worked until about two years ago. She’s still a sweetheart, too, and to preserve that, heh heh, she’s planning to find different work. Best of the good luck, India. (I specify because when people say “Best of luck,” might they possibly mean “Best of the BAD luck”? Maybe, if they’re awful people. Me, I’m non-awful…)
