Glad I'm home and warm and dry

Surprisingly messy night for Portland. We didn't get much rain, but traffic was gummed up, as in "emergency vehicles in many places with lights and sirens going" gummed up. I even saw two cop cars on Terwilliger Blvd., sometimes driving on the left (a scary proposition on that road, though not as scary as it'd be on Sam Jackson Park Rd. nearby; you Portlanders know what I'm talking about); I've never seen cop cars up there before tonight.

I got home and nuked up a potato and cooked up chili (canned, but that works in a pinch) and got very warm. There. Much better.
