Ain't It Cool's Quint interviews actors Kal Penn, John Cho, and Neil Patrick Harris about their reunion film, Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay. (Yes, that's the title.) R-rated, slightly vaguely spoiler-y, and funny, with tidbits/hinty hints about Star Trek (where Cho's playing Sulu) and suggestions that possibly maybe NPH could get his own spinoff film:
Quint: One thing I wanted to bring up with [Harold and Kumar co-writers] Jon and Hayden, and they even beat me to it… They were talking about “We want to keep making these movies and we were talking about doing spin-off movies…” and I was like “NPH movies!” What would you think about that? It’s a unique situation… because it’s you, but it’s not you… at least I’d imagine…

Neil Patrick Harris: Part of me thinks that would be really hilarious just to make up this fictitious back story of my family and that makes me think of Steve Martin in The Jerk, just going really outlandish, and then part of me thinks that is just truly jumping the shark, so I don’t know. When you are spinning off a character that’s based on a real person, but not real… I don’t know, it might be too much, but if anyone can write it…

Quint: It worked for John Malkovich.
I like these guys, and I roared at their first film together, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. (The dream sequence with the bag of pot might have made me laugh the hardest laugh I laughed all last year.)
