The Unexpected Comics Connection

Chatting with one of my apartment-building neighbors tonight and I find that her boyfriend, another of my neighbors, is a freelance office helper at Top Shelf Productions, the Portland comics publisher whose output ranges from Andy Runton's Owly to Alan Moore and Melinda Gebbie's Lost Girls. Neat! He got the slightly surreal job of packing a copy of Lost Girls to mail to Hugh Hefner.
