Odd moment just under an hour ago: While I do dishes, I'm trying to decipher my mood (which has been topsy-turvy all day) when my inner voice says, "Whatever you're doing, DO SOMETHING ELSE. NOW."

And I did. I bundled up and went for a walk, about 10 blocks total (basically a wide circle around the nearby school), and came home, and finished the dishes. Nothing dramatic happened, but I experienced briskness and Christmas lights.

No major point to this, but it seemed worth noting. I did what Calvin did: he once said, "I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul." ('Course, then he said, "My mandate includes weird bugs.")
