Blood, blood, blood...

What is called the Civil War – the football game between the Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers – happens today. Let it be well-played. My contribution to the Civil War was to give blood Monday: The Red Cross held a Civil War Blood Drive (“Bleed for your team!”) that ended this week, and I added a pint to the Ducks' total. So did enough fellow Ducks to make it a Yellow-and-Green total of – let’s check the web – 3,095 pints of sweet, sweet redness.

OSU people donated 4,059.

Hmm. Maybe all those Beavers will be too weak to play well…No! Bad thought! Bad thought!
